Convenient location for central access. The room was comfortable and clean. It felt secure with coded locks on all doors. Perfect if you just need a place to sleep at a good value. I had a solid night's sleep for two nights 😊

The room was well-kept and en suite with central heating, a work desk and television.
Units with a view. Friendly and efficient hotel employees all round. Perfect location really close to the canal as well as the river walk, could not be better. Also, in the front door area.

The Aila Restaurant & Bar was an absolute gem, serving up dishes that put a smile on my face! Plus, I appreciated the room's cleanliness and the short stroll to town by the river.
For £69, the ensuite felt more like a basic student digs. The sound insulation was a joke, and the tap water tasted stale. Not the best feel for a night's stay!

Scenic canal views, responsive communication with staff
The check-in process was frustrating with incorrect door codes leading to lockouts!!! The limited kitchen utensils made cooking difficult, and the steep stairs posed a safety concern .

Communication about parking and building access was frustrating, requiring several messages for a response. The room was basic, lacking heating and tea-making facilities, with stained sheets noticeable only late at night. The shared kitchen required an extra charge, unexpected. The WiFi was unreliable. It cut out entirely on my first night, leading to an abrupt departure after the second night without a refund. Comfort was compromised by poor sound insulation and a hard bed.

It was just a commendable fit for a momentary visit in Reading with great value-to-price ratio. The check-in process was quick, and I appreciated the cleanliness of the shared kitchen area, made my stay more pleasant. Bring your own cooking utensils as the kitchen could use more equipment for meal prep.

i found the location ideal for strolling around with beautiful parks like forbury gardens just a short walk away, and the river views along the canal path were so peaceful and lovely to enjoy while walking around town.

I really enjoyed my stay here, especially the cozy ambiance and the comfortable room I had for the night. There were some great spots to unwind, like the lovely garden and a nice lounge area to kick back and relax. Just a heads up, I had a bit of trouble finding my way at first since there wasn't a clear sign outside, but it all worked out in the end! 😊
